Very happy to share the City and Transit announcement that voters with their voter cards will be able to ride Transit for free on Election Day to the polls. Sincerely thankful that the Transit Commissioners were in agreement with the motion, and thank-you as well to Mayor Walter Sendzik for his support on this matter.

Election day voting
On Monday, Oct. 22, there will be 24 voting locations, accessible by St. Catharines Transit buses, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents can vote at any of the four voting locations in their ward. Residents will be voting for St. Catharines City Council and Mayor, Regional Council, and school board trustees. Residents should bring their voter notification card and one piece of issued identification with them to the polling location. Any eligible voter who did not receive a voter’s card can still be added to the voter list at the poll on election day, or at an advanced poll. Residents are required to bring two pieces of identification that show their name and current address.
Ride the bus to the polls for free on election day
St. Catharines Transit is providing free transportation to and from a voting locations on election day. Electors are asked to show their voter information cards to ride free.
