From City Hall – because I know many residents use this to plan fall activities . . .
August 10, 2018 – To ensure everybody can play, the City of St. Catharines will launch new inclusive programs in the upcoming Fall and Winter Leisure Guide with a pre-release version available online Thursday, Aug. 16.
The City has added a wide variety of inclusive programming including sitting volleyball, Pilates back care class, soapstone carving and skateboard instructor, along with the tried and true programs of shinny hockey, pickleball and aquatics leadership (lifeguarding) programs. Registration for programs opens Aug. 28.
Copies of the Guide will be available on Thursday, Aug. 23 in Niagara This Week and participating City facilities.
“We are excited to provide new and inclusive programs this fall and winter based on feedback from our community forums,” said Lori Mambella, manager of programs and cultural services. “Not only are we offering new programs but we also have a lot of affordable options for anyone on a budget.”
Recreation programming offers a Family Rate when more than one child registers in the same program, while aquatic programming offers a variety of drop-in leisure swims and activities for under $5.
The City’s online version of the Guide will be available Thursday, Aug. 16 at www.stcatharines.ca/LeisureGuide. Visit the website for more information and how to register for programs on August 28 to guarantee a spot in your preferred program.
