Finally, we arrive at the Transportation Master Plan

Kudos to Mark Elliott for being like a dog with a bone on this one – he’s been pushing to get this done since he was elected 11 years ago.  Good to see it is finally moving forward:

Talk transportation at open house

Oct. 23, 2017 – Residents are encouraged to give their feedback on the current and future transportation needs of St. Catharines at the City’s Transportation Master Plan open house.

The open house will be held Monday, Nov. 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. The open house will follow a drop-in format where residents will be able to discuss transportation with City staff and the consultants preparing the Transportation Master Plan. No RSVP is required.

“We want people to bring their ideas for how they want to get around the city,” said Brian Applebee, manager of transportation services. “Whether it’s trails, transit, bike lanes or traffic, we need to hear from residents about their experiences with transportation.”

Feedback received from the open house will be combined with results from the City’s online MetroQuest survey and input from local stakeholder groups to prepare the City’s Transportation Master Plan.
