I guess I won’t be taking Welland Ave. for the next few months

I understand the reasoning, and I get why Welland Ave. is going to be dug up twice.  But that doesn’t mean I need to accept it.

Two issues with this project – first, why is the Federal government being so obstinate that it can’t give an extension to the funding so that taxpayers won’t be inconvenienced twice on the same stretch of road; and second, why is the Region putting off work that could piggy-back on the city project?  How can either of the other levels of government talk about the concept of ‘value for money’ when this is how they’re operating?
